Education for Sustainability: (Barry Law) (Mar)

A workshop with Barry Law from University of Canterbury.

Education for sustainability – Exploring both the content and process aspects of education for sustainability. The professional development programme will outline the four key pillars/aspects of sustainability (economic, social/cultural, political and environmental) and explore the notion of sustainable education. Through the notion of sustainable education we will explore what is meant by “if still more education is to save us it will have to be education of a different kind: an education that takes us to the depths of things”, E F Schumacher.
